Meet The Director, Sundip Ghedia

My Mission

My mission is to be a trusted advisor provide commercial solutions to legal disputes of successful family run business owners. I want my clients to achieved their business and family goals with precise, strategic advice, protection of interests and fast action.

History

I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and arrived in Australia in the early 1970s. My father was a flying doctor with the Royal Australian Flying Doctors Service stationed in Wyndham in the Kymberly in Western Australia. Eventually my family settled in Leeton in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area in the Riverina, NSW where my father was the local GP. After he died the town named a park after him.
I spent 6 years as a boarder at Knox Grammar School. I attended Macquarie University where I studied a Bachelor of Arts in ancient Greek philosophy majoring in Socrates, and a Bachelor of Laws at Macquarie University. I later gained a Master of Laws from University of Sydney majoring in corporate and business law. I was admitted as a solicitor in 1997 and worked as a law clerk in Australia’s largest firm, Freehills, before becoming a senior associate in a major global firm, Hunt & Hunt. I established my own firm in 2005 called Wyndham Lawyers.
I am an associate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and member of the Australia India Business Council. I authored the publication “Civil Actions and Procedures in Australia” – Kinsella S. & Comeaux P. (Ed) Digest of Commercial Laws of the World, Oceana Publications, New York, June 2003 pages 145-162. I am currently writing a book “Warriors and Worriers – Winning Legal Cases”.
I am a family man, train in amateur mixed martial arts, play the harmonium. I love travel, camping and sharing food. I know success comes from hard work. I am positive, down to earth and straightforward. I hold traditional values such as old-fashioned personal service, honesty and integrity.

The Place

Wyndham is 2200 kilometres northeast of Perth in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. It was established in 1886 after a gold rush. In 1935 it became the first base for the Royal Australian Flying Doctor Service. Wyndham is now a port and service centre with a population of 800.
